Frantically Trying to Catch Up!!

Ok, I’m insanely behind in posting reviews because I am reading like a fiend to try to finish out my goals for the year. Here are the reviews I owe you and where they put me with my goals:

Independence Day by Richard Ford–Great
The Plague by Albert Camus–not as bleak as you’d think
The Gate at the Stairs by Lori Moore–Liked it, particularly the dialogue it gets into on race
American Rust by Philip Meyer–LOVED it. Wish he had more novels out.

And if I get around to them:
Blue Ocean, Green Skipper by Stuart Woods — he was crazy to try this, fun read, but he was also a green author then.
A Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling–Good, but not up to what you hope for if you are a Harry Potter fan.

Here is where my goals stand:

Pulitzer: Oct Nov Dec
Nobel: Oct Nov Dec (giving myself credit for Nov and Dec, since these didn’t exist)
Great African Reads: 1 2 3
